The annual India Week, scheduled to take place in London from May 26-30, 2026, is expected to bring together nearly 1,500 attendees from close to a dozen countries for what organizers describe as the largest independently organized UK-India conference series.
The week-long program will feature nine events across five locations in London, with participation from prominent figures in policy, journalism, business, and film.
According to a statement from the organizers, India Week aims to showcase the “India Story” to global audiences while fostering deeper understanding of India among senior stakeholders in the UK and Europe.
This year’s edition will introduce new initiatives focused on Track 2 diplomacy, facilitating the entry of global franchises into India, and helping export-oriented Indian businesses connect with UK distributors for the first time.
The lineup of speakers and attendees includes Vince Cable, Atul Kochhar, Monisha Advani, Varada Sethu, Rishi Rich, Smita Prakash, Rajdeep Sardesai, Saurabh Dwivedi, Lakshyaraj Singh Mewar, Karan Bilimoria, Karim Fatehi, venture capitalists Raja Ganapathy and Stewart Langdon, among others.
Curator of India Week Pratik Dattani said, “In a difficult geopolitical world, the role of India is changing. India Week is the leading such European non-politically aligned series of events, to bring India to the world. Our conversations extend across film, literature, journalism, business and public policy.”
Key discussions during the conference series will focus on topics including “India’s place in an age of interest-driven and plurilateral coalitions, India’s relationship with its South Asian neighbourhood, stories from leading Indian founders taking India to the world, how Western media can better cover vernacular and local stories in India, and how to boost UK-India film coproduction investments.”
The statement added that several Indian-origin filmmakers from around the world will participate in the Film Conclave, described as the UK’s only dedicated film co-production market, to seek financing for upcoming feature film projects.
Partners for India Week include the London Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Regent Group, and Bridge India.
