The Foundation of Indian-Americans (FIA) New England, in collaboration with nonprofit and healthcare partners, will host a Free Community Health Camp on January 17, 2026, at the Academy of Creative Arts, located at 12 A St., Burlington, Massachusetts.
The camp will begin at 10:00 a.m. and is being organized in observance of Martin Luther King Jr. Day and India’s Republic Day, reflecting shared values of service, equality, and community upliftment. The event is open to the public and will be offered at no cost, with no insurance required, according to a statement from FIA New England.

A key highlight of the program will be a Free Vision Care initiative, during which 1,000 prescription reading glasses will be distributed on the spot to individuals in need. The initiative is being conducted in partnership with nonprofit organizations RestoringVision and Jatan Foundation, with the goal of improving vision health and overall quality of life for underserved community members.
In addition to vision screenings, the camp will provide a broad range of free health-related services, including general health screenings, dental and vision checks, mental health counseling, diabetes and heart disease awareness, nutrition and fitness guidance, flu shots and vaccine information, immigration medical examination guidance (I-693), MassHealth insurance assistance, resources for seniors and immigrants, and estate planning consultations covering wills and trusts.
Healthcare professionals from multiple specialties will volunteer their time and expertise, reinforcing the spirit of “Service Above Self” and community-centered care.
Organizers said the initiative is designed to connect community members with qualified medical professionals while recognizing the dedication of healthcare providers who continue to serve with compassion and commitment.
Early registration is encouraged due to limited availability. Interested participants can register online at https://tinyurl.com/FIAHealthCamp.
The event is supported by several community and healthcare partners, including Happy Life Adult Day Health, Jatan Foundation, The Treasury, My Special Legal Planning, RestoringVision, Lynn Urgent Care, and Woburn Urgent Care.
