The American Telugu Association, hosted by the Delaware Valley ATA team, conducted its Board Meeting and fundraising events on May 15 and 16 at the DoubleTree by Hilton Wilmington.
The two-day gathering brought together community leaders, board members, volunteers, donors, and supporters for a series of events focused on community engagement and organizational planning. According to a statement from ATA, President Jayanth Challa continues to lead the organization with a strong emphasis on “unity, inclusivity, and community service.”
The program commenced on May 15 with a dinner hosted at Bawarchi, attended by approximately 200 guests. On May 16, the Board Meeting continued with the participation of the Board of Trustees, while conference committees presented updates and plans for the upcoming ATA 19th Conference and Youth Convention, scheduled to take place from July 31 through August 2, 2026, in Baltimore.

ATA Matrimony, an initiative designed to support families seeking matrimonial alliances, was also highlighted during the meeting. President Challa encouraged second-generation youth and their parents to take advantage of the platform. During the session, Matrimony Committee Chair Anitha Muthoju conducted a matrimonial discussion that was well received by attendees.
Later that evening, ATA Delaware hosted a fundraising event that attracted nearly 500 attendees. According to the statement, “The event reflected the strong spirit of unity and support within the Delaware and Pennsylvania ATA communities, with pledged fundraising commitments reaching approximately $350,000. The overwhelming response underscored the community’s continued dedication to ATA’s mission and future initiatives.”
The ATA Delaware Valley team, led by Past President Parmesh Bheemreddy, Board of Trustee Raju Kakkerla, and local coordinators Arun Rudra, VenuGopal Reddy Komatireddy, Kiran Ala, Hanu Thirumal, Satish Banda, Ramana Kotha, Venu Bandi, Anil Sudamalla, Pramod Sangani, Vamshi Yamzala, Madhu Nalla, Rajesh Konkeesa, Naren Akula, and Ravinder Gatla, expressed gratitude to volunteers, donors, supporters, and community partners for contributing to the success of the events.
Special appreciation was also extended to President Challa and President-Elect Satish Reddy for their leadership and continued support in advancing ATA’s mission and community service initiatives.
