Trump Alleges Iranian Leadership Beset by Strong Internal Divisions

US President Donald Trump alleging that strong internal divisions have beset Iran’s leadership, claimed that Iranians have essentially becoming leaderless, as they no longer know who is leading them, preventing the country from submitting a response to the latest proposal for a permanent ceasefire agreement between the two countries.

“Iran is having a very hard time figuring out who their leader is! They just don’t know!” Trump wrote on Truth Social.

While Mojtaba Khamenei is the Islamic Republic’s new Supreme Leader in official capacity, he has not been seen publicly since he took charge following his father Ali Khamenei’s death on February 28.

Though alive, Mojtaba’s condition remains unknown, as he was noted to have been badly injured in the same strike which killed his father along with a bunch of other senior Iranian officials, and is considered most likely disfigured, though Tehran maintains that he is sound of mind, and has been key in formulating post-war policies.

Regardless of Mojtaba’s condition, the IRGC has becoming a very powerful player in the field, with many believing the hardline paramilitary group to now virtually be in charge of the country, while parliament speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf, and Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi, who have been tasked with negotiating with the US, are said to be more amicable to making a deal.

“The infighting is between the ‘hardliners’ who have been losing BADLY on the battlefield, and the ‘moderates,’ who are not very moderate at all (but gaining respect!), is CRAZY!” Trump wrote, adding “We have total control over the Strait of Hormuz.

“No ship can enter or leave without the approval of the United States Navy. It is sealed up tight until such time as Iran is able to make a DEAL!”

As per intelligence reports from the US and Israel, Tehran is unable to come up with any kind of a unified response to the latest proposal for a permanent ceasefire, due to its own leadership being beset by strong internal divisions, making Trump indefinitely extend the truce that was supposed to expire earlier this week.
