The India-AI Impact Summit 2026, to be held at Bharat Mandapam in the Indian capital, will mark the first global-scale AI summit hosted in the Global South. The event aims to convene leaders from governments, industry, academia, and startups worldwide to translate the potential of artificial intelligence into tangible outcomes for humanity and the environment, reaffirming India’s vision of “AI for All,” according to a statement from the Consulate General of India in Seattle.

The Seattle Roundtable featured expert presentations by leading technology CEOs from the Greater Seattle area. Discussions explored the use of AI in agri-tech, and the growing potential of data centers and digital infrastructure in India.

Participants also briefed U.S. Congressman Adam Smith, Ranking Member of the House Armed Services Committee, and Congressman Michael Baumgartner, Member of the House Judiciary and Foreign Affairs Committees, on India’s progress in the field of AI. The dialogue emphasized the “Seven Chakras” – or themes for global cooperation – encompassing:

  • Safe and Trusted AI
  • Human Capital
  • Science
  • Resilience, Innovation, and Efficiency
  • Inclusion and Social Empowerment
  • Democratizing AI Resources
  • Economic Growth and Social Good

The November 7 event, held at the new Chancery premises of the Indian Consulate in Seattle, was the first in a series of curtain raisers planned ahead of the Summit.

Additional workshops and briefing sessions are being organized in leading U.S. universities across the Pacific Northwest and with major technology and AI industry stakeholders in January 2026, as part of continued engagement leading up to the Summit.
