New York State Assemblywoman Jenifer Rajkumar has announced that she will host “Hot or Scary: Ridgewood’s Epic Halloween Bash,” a “spooktacular Halloween extravaganza,” on October 29, from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at El Manaba Restaurant, located at 3-41 St. Nicholas Avenue in Ridgewood. The event is free and open to the public, according to a statement from the Assemblywoman’s office.
Guests can look forward to an evening of authentic Ecuadorian cuisine, a lively dance floor with a DJ, and a costume contest celebrating creativity and community spirit. “Assemblywoman Rajkumar encourages everyone in Ridgewood and beyond to come with their most creative costumes, their best dance moves and – most important of all – their party spirit for one of the most fun events of the season,” the statement said.
The Halloween celebration is being organized in partnership with several of Ridgewood’s leading community organizations, who have come together to support the festive initiative. Community partners include the Queens Public Library, Myrtle Avenue BID, 104th Precinct Civilian Observation Patrol, Ridgewood 3-2-1 Kiwanis, Ridgewood Nepalese Society, Inc., Altamirano Financial Services, CMM Producciones, and others.
