In the seventh month of the year, several film, stage, television and music celebrities were born. Here are 10 illustrious names.
Ranveer Singh (July 6)
After the Dhurandhar franchise, there is no stopping this man. A byword in demonstrative affection to friends and a monumental and versatile talent who has proved his range from romance and comedy to drama and action, Singh is themost successful actor from the 2010 decade on.

His massive hits also include Goliyon Ki RasLila—RamLila, Bajirao Mastani, Gully Boy, Simmba and Padmaavat.
Kailash Kher (July 7)
A singer extraordinaire, Kailash Kher has made his name in Pop, Rock, Devotional and Sufi music both in films and outside. Though he debuted with Andaaz (2003) under Nadeem-Shravan in cinema, he got his tryst with fame only after the hit song Allah ke bande from Waisa Bhi Hota hai Part II in the same year. Multi-lingual and multi-awarded, Kher is also a gifted composer and was also part of the Kailasa Band.
Neetu Kapoor (July 8)
She is simply much more than Rishi Kapoor’s wife and Ranbir Kapoor’s mother. As child artiste Baby Sonia from the age of seven in the 1966 Suraj, she shot to fame as twin sisters in the 1968 super-hit, Do Kaliyan, a remake of Walt Disney’s The Parent Trap. She later became Neetu Singh (real name Harneet Kaur) as a leading lady, starting with Rickshawala (1973). She quit acting after being one of the highest-priced heroines of the 1970s. Her mega-hits like Deewaar, Kabhi Kabhie, Dharam-Veer, Amar Akbar Anthony, Parvarish and Jaani Dushmun, saw her shining both in solo leads as well as multi-heroine movies. Married to Rishi Kapoor in 1980, Neetu quit films but staged a comeback in 2009 with Love Aaj Kal and acts occasionally today, as in Daadi Ki Shaadi.
Katrina Kaif (July 16)
The only actress of foreign origin to make it huge in Hindi cinema, Katrina Kaif is the Britain-raised child of a Kashmiri father and a British mother. The actress debuted with Boom in 2003, but soon made a mark in Hindi cinema as one of the top three heroines of the millennium and beyond.

She was also linked romantically to Salman Khan for a long time, and had blockbusters like the Tiger franchise and others with him, apart from movies with Akshay Kumar, the other Khans, Hrithik Roshan, Ranbir Kapoor and more. Now Mrs. Vicky Kaushal, Katrina was last seen in Merry Christmas in 2024 and is currently on a sabbatical.
Ravi Kishan (July 17, 2026)
Ravi Kishan is more than just a multi-lingual actor. He has been film producer, television personality and politician. A member of Parliament since 2019, he has been decorated with a Sansad Ratna award in 2025 for his performance in parliamentary duties. Known for his versatility, his recent standout turns include Laapataa Ladies, Maamla Legal Hai, Dhamaal 4 and Peddi from the South.
Priyanka Chopra Jonas (July 18)
You could call her India’s first truly global star. Priyanka Chopra moved from Hindi cinema and several great performances and hits to the international circuit with Quantico. Having married Nick Jonas, she also become a name to reckon with in multiple films and series. Back home, she turned producer with the brilliant Marathi Ventilator, producing films in many Indian languages. After a series of rumored comebacks in Hindi cinema, she now finally returns to India with S.S. Rajamouli’s Varanasi.
Himesh Reshammiya (July 23)
The maverick musician first made his debut as TV producer, storywriter and composer with Andaz (1995), following which he hit a good streak in that field. He then made his film debut as composer with a superhit song, Odh li chunariyafrom Pyaar Kiya To Darna Kya in 1998. A silver streak as composer followed (Humraaz, Tere Naam, Aitraaz and more) and then Reshammiya turned singer and entered the most successful phase of his life (Aashiq Banaya Aapne, Aksar and more) and finally actor (Aap Ka Surroor). He has since also been a producer, screenwriter and lyricist and had a slew of non-film albums as singer-composer. Reshammiya is now doing Matrubhoomi: May War Rest in Peaceand Sooraj R. Barjatya’s Yeh Prem Mol Liya.
Sanjay Dutt (July 29)
He now veers between playing the good guy and the evil one.

Sanjay Dutt has always had a checkered career since his lead debut in 1981 with Rocky: his actual first tryst with the screen was a decade earlier as a kid, a part of a qawwali in Reshma Aur Shera. His trysts with the law are ironically more well-known, but Dutt served his lawful sentence and returned to work, having also surmounted personal ups and downs, including divorces and cancer. Dhurandhar is his latest triumph.
Anup Jalota (July 29)
Known today as Bhajan Samrat, Anup Jalota has been involved in films as producer and composer as well as singer apart from being a global icon in singing devotionals as well as ghazals. The son of bhajan exponent Purushottam Das Jalota, this Padma Shri recipient has been Hindustani music’s best-known figure in the devotional space. Along with his other talents, he has also acted in a few projects, like the 1999 film, Kartoos and the web series, Paatal Lok.
Sonu Nigam (July 30)
Sonu Nigam began his career singing cover-versions of his idol, Mohammed Rafi and made his debut under Usha Khanna in a TV serial. He hit big-time with his chartbusters in Border and Pardes and went on to become one of the leading playback singers from the late 1990s, experimenting also with acting and music direction.
