The Consulate General of India in Houston, in partnership with the Indo-American Chamber of Commerce of Greater Houston (IACCGH), organized a roundtable discussion on “10 Years of Make in India: Scope for India-US Collaboration in MSME,” on October 17, 2024, in Houston, Texas.
The event featured a high-level Indian delegation led by Dr. Rajneesh, Additional Secretary and Development Commissioner, Ministry of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs).
India’s Consul General in Houston, D.C. Manjunath, welcomed the attendees, highlighting the achievements of the Make in India initiative. According to a statement from the Indian Consulate, Dr. Rajneesh discussed key MSME policies, including equity infusion, the PM Vishwakarma scheme, initiatives to promote women entrepreneurship, and potential areas for collaboration between MSMEs in both countries.
The statement noted that industry leaders from diverse sectors participated in lively discussions aimed at enhancing India-US MSME partnerships. They explored new opportunities for collaboration and ways to strengthen bilateral economic relations. The event underscored the significant potential for deepening cooperation between India and the US, particularly in the MSME sector.
