The Washington, D.C., chapter of the Jain International Trade Organization (JITO) USA hosted an interactive community session, Creating Breakthrough Results, at TEOCO headquarters in Fairfax, Virginia.

The workshop was led by Atul Jain, founder and CEO of TEOCO, and brought together executives, community leaders, and professionals from across the Washington metropolitan area. According to a JITO statement, participants left the session with practical insights and strategies aimed at achieving transformative results in both their personal and professional lives.

During the session, Jain challenged conventional thinking by describing a true breakthrough as more than a modest 10 percent improvement. Instead, he defined it as a fivefold to tenfold transformation that makes seemingly impossible goals achievable. Drawing on business strategy, personal experiences, and Jain philosophy, he highlighted several principles for creating breakthrough results, including:

  • Shifting Internal Mindset First: Actions stem from underlying thinking. Jain encouraged participants to treat preconceived notions as temporary “files” that can be edited or deleted, rather than fixed “beliefs,” and to manage self-chatter to unlock potential.
  • Building Support & Relatedness: No breakthrough is achieved alone. Success relies on enrolling a core team of 2–3 supporters through genuine care and relatedness.
  • Navigating Breakdowns: Breakdowns are a natural byproduct of taking bold stands. The key is recognizing the gap, recommitting, and taking immediate action rather than remaining stuck.
  • Embracing Vulnerability: Utilizing phrases like “I could be wrong” serves as a powerful leadership tool that invites connection and collaboration.

According to the statement, attendees concluded the workshop motivated to apply the concepts immediately by reassessing personal goals, strengthening professional relationships, and leading with greater purpose.

JITO USA Washington, D.C., continues to organize leadership development and professional learning opportunities for members of the Greater Washington region, the statement added.
