The Association of Indo Americans hosted its much-anticipated AIA’s The Great Indian Food & Shopping Fest (AIA TGIFS Fest) and Mango Festival on May 9, 2026, at Bishop Ranch in San Ramon, attracting more than 15,000 attendees from across the Bay Area for a celebration of culture, cuisine, entertainment, shopping, and community engagement.
According to a statement issued by AIA, the venue was transformed into a vibrant multicultural marketplace featuring “energy, flavors, music, and family-friendly experiences” throughout the afternoon and evening. Attendees described the festival as a colorful carnival-like celebration filled with “excitement, community spirit, and unforgettable experiences.”

The event’s grand sponsor was Sanjiv Gupta CPA, with Realtor Lavanya Duvvi serving as the platinum sponsor. Travelopod participated as the travel partner, while Realtor Nagaraj Anniah was the powered-by sponsor. Additional sponsors included Sierra Pacific PW, Insta Service, Azad Financials, Vachi Silks, Apex, Kavya Foods, My Pursu, Realtor Shikha Kapoor, Deeksha Boutique, Bhanu Mangoes, and AnuGraha Farms.
One of the major attractions of this year’s event was the Mango Festival, where attendees sampled a wide range of mango-inspired desserts, beverages, sweets, and specialty dishes celebrating the fruit during peak mango season. Long lines and enthusiastic crowds highlighted the popularity of the mango-themed offerings.
During the event, AIA also felicitated Jayaram Komati on his appointment as the Andhra Pradesh Government’s Special Representative for North America.

Speaking at the gathering, Komati said he was honored and humbled by the appointment and reaffirmed his commitment to working for the betterment of communities while helping “build stronger relationships” between the United States, Andhra Pradesh, and India.
Several public officials and community leaders attended the festival and extended greetings from the stage, including Nahas Ali, Elisa Marquez, Ursula Jones Dickson, Marisol Rubio, Sridhar Verose, Melissa Hernandez, Evan Branning, and Ben Barrientos.
“It was inspiring to see thousands of families, community members, and leaders come together to celebrate culture, diversity, and unity,” representatives from the Association of Indo Americans said. “The overwhelming support from attendees, sponsors, vendors, performers, and volunteers helped make this year’s festival one of the most successful and memorable celebrations to date.”

The festival featured more than 100 vendors representing Indian and international cuisine, clothing, jewelry, finance, fashion, handicrafts, art, home décor, artisan products, and local small businesses. Organizers said the event offered entrepreneurs and community businesses an opportunity to connect with thousands of visitors while showcasing the diversity and vibrancy of multicultural commerce in the Bay Area.
Guests also enjoyed continuous live entertainment featuring Bay Area dance groups, musical performances by EBK and BATA/AIA Karaoke teams, DJ performances, and cultural showcases representing diverse traditions and communities. A special Mother’s Day Saree Promenade was among the highlights of the evening. Carnival rides, games, and interactive family activities further contributed to the festive atmosphere for attendees of all ages.
Organized annually by AIA, TGIFS Fest has become one of the Bay Area’s most anticipated cultural celebrations, reflecting the region’s diversity and community spirit while promoting “cultural awareness, inclusion, and support for local businesses.”
