The India International Centre (IIC) will host the formal launch of “Seeking The Infinite,” authored by global banking executive Yakub Mathew, at a ceremony to be presided over by former Vice President of India Jagdeep Dhankhar. The event is scheduled for March 1, 2026, at the Kamladevi Complex at the Centre in New Delhi and is expected to draw leaders from the fields of spirituality, academia, literature, and public life.

Inspired by Mathew’s participation in the once-in-144-years Maha Kumbh Mela, the book chronicles a deeply personal and collective spiritual journey undertaken with a group of 18 friends from across the world. According to a statement from the organizers, “Seeking The Infinite” blends narrative reflections, photography, and insights from more than 50 global thought leaders to explore themes of identity, consciousness, and the universal search for meaning.

The launch ceremony will feature a distinguished lineup of guests, including Haji Syed Salman Chishty, 26th-generation Gaddi Nashin of Dargah Ajmer Sharif and Chairman of the Chishty Foundation; Sadhvi Bhagawati Saraswati, International Director of Parmarth Niketan and Secretary-General of the Global Interfaith WASH Alliance; Professor Dr. Dinesh Singh, Chancellor of K.R. Mangalam University and former Vice-Chancellor of the University of Delhi; and Padma Shri awardee Neelima Dalmia Adhar, bestselling author and daughter of industrialist Ramkrishna Dalmia and Padma Bhushan awardee Dinesh Nandini Dalmia.

Mathew, a New York-based Syrian Christian from Kerala and senior global banking executive, organized the Maha Kumbh Mela spiritual delegation that forms the foundation of the book.

The program will be moderated by communications strategist Dilip Cherian, widely regarded as India’s “Image Guru,” while noted writer and media personality Kishwar Desai will serve as Master of Ceremonies.

“The launch of “Seeking The Infinite” is more than a literary milestone—it is a celebration of India’s spiritual heritage and its unifying power across cultures and faiths,” the statement added. “The book highlights the Maha Kumbh Mela as a global symbol of devotion, introspection, and collective transcendence.”

Described as more than a memoir, the book is presented as a spiritual guidepost that celebrates unity, shared humanity, and India’s enduring wisdom. “Blending evocative photography, personal reflections, and diverse global perspectives, the book examines enduring questions of identity, consciousness, and existence,” the statement said.

The organizers further noted that the work underscores India’s role as a beacon of spiritualism, offering pathways to peace, truth, and inner awakening for readers worldwide.

“Positioned as both a reflective memoir and a broader spiritual commentary, the book highlights India’s enduring role as a global center of faith and philosophical inquiry,” it added. “Through its documentation of the Maha Kumbh Mela—one of the world’s largest and most ancient gatherings—Seeking The Infinite underscores the continuing relevance of India’s spiritual traditions in a rapidly changing world.”
