Maryland Governor Wes Moore and Lieutenant Governor Aruna Miller have officially filed for reelection, reaffirming their commitment to what they describe as a vision of building a Maryland that leaves “no one behind.”
In a statement issued February 23, Moore highlighted the administration’s priorities and contrasted them with federal policies.
“Today, Lieutenant Governor Aruna Miller and I filed for reelection to continue the progress we’ve seen throughout Maryland to grow our economy, improve our public schools, and double down on record drops in violent crime,” said Governor Wes Moore. “While Trump’s reckless policies cost Marylanders their jobs and raise prices on everything, here in Maryland we are showing across the state and party lines that there’s a better way forward to make our economy stronger and everyday life more affordable.”

Lieutenant Governor Miller echoed that message, emphasizing bipartisan cooperation and leadership.
“I am thrilled to stand alongside Governor Wes Moore as we continue our mission to build a Maryland that leaves no one behind,” said Lieutenant Governor Aruna Miller. “As Washington launches direct attacks on our people, now more than ever do we need leaders of action—leaders like Governor Moore who shows us we can work across party lines to create opportunity for everyone regardless of where they live.”
According to the campaign statement, since taking office, the Moore administration has cut middle-class taxes, reduced unemployment to what it described as a record low, and helped drive record declines in violent crime across the state.

The statement highlighted several key areas of focus and progress, including targeted permitting and procurement reforms aimed at streamlining business growth and reducing red tape; expanded investments in life sciences, information technology, aerospace, and advanced manufacturing; and support for major private-sector expansions. Among them is AstraZeneca’s investment, described as the largest in Maryland’s history, which the campaign said reinforces the state’s position as a global innovation hub.
The administration has also emphasized strengthening fiscal responsibility, improving agency accountability, and modernizing government operations.
Governor Moore’s efforts to “deliver real results has resulted in overwhelming support from across the state,” the statement noted.
The campaign also announced a broad coalition of endorsements. Supporters include the Maryland REALTORS®, the Maryland International Association of Fire Fighters, the Maryland State Education Association, Service Employees International Union Local 500, and elected officials from both major parties across the state.
In addition, the Moore-Miller campaign reported raising $7 million over the past year, describing it as a “record-breaking” off-year fundraising total for Maryland. The campaign said it entered the new year with $8 million in cash on hand.
