A 63-run unbeaten third-wicket partnership between Terisha and D. Mitra helped Waterloo Warriors surprise defending champions Mississauga Premiers by eight wickets with four balls to spare in the World T10® Women’s Series that concluded at picturesque Danville Park in Mississauga on September 1, 2025.

Waterloo Warriors won by 8 wickets with Terisha (32 not out) hitting the match-winning six, her second, while Mitra remained unbeaten on 17.

Earlier, Mississauga Premiers skipper Indowatie Goordial removed both Waterloo Warriors openers in her first over to record an impressive figure of 2 for 3. She, however, could not make any further dent in the Waterloo Warriors batting line-up as Terisha and Mitra put their heads down and punished loose balls to achieve the target with four balls to spare.

The finale provided the climax to two days of excitement, showcasing the best of women’s sport in Canada.

The two-day, seven-match series not only celebrated sporting excellence but also marked a step forward for women’s participation in community sports. On the first day, Councilor Natalie Hart announced major infrastructure developments at Danville Park — including the addition of women’s washrooms and the installation of floodlights — emphasizing how the success of the World T10® Women’s Series was instrumental in driving these community-focused improvements.

Batting first, Mississauga Premiers piled up a sizeable total of 75 for one in the stipulated 10 overs on a lush green wicket, with skipper Indowatie Goordial completing her second half-century of the tournament from 31 balls.

Chasing a tough target of 76 in 10 overs, Waterloo Warriors lost both openers with the scoreboard reading a dismal 13 for 2. That brought Terisha and Mitra together, and they overcame all challenges and scored at will to achieve the target for a surprise win over the defending champions.
