As part of its ongoing NRS Cares community initiative, National Retail Solutions (NRS) recently welcomed approximately 30 local students to its corporate headquarters for an immersive “Career Day” program. The event offered students a unique opportunity to explore career paths through interactive learning and direct engagement with NRS leadership.
Designed to provide hands-on career exposure, the event featured three rotating workshop stations where participants created personal vision boards, crafted their first resumes, and received professional development guidance from NRS executives. Among the company leaders who mentored students were CEO Elie Y. Katz, CFO Ashish Parikh, and Vice President of Marketing Diana Stern, stated NRS.
“Hosting these motivated students at our headquarters was incredibly rewarding,” said Elie Y. Katz, President & CEO of NRS. “Seeing their enthusiasm as they worked on vision boards and learned about different career paths reminded us all why investing in youth development is so important. These students brought fresh perspectives and energy that was truly inspiring for our entire team.”
The structured programming enabled students to gain real-world insights into corporate operations while developing foundational professional skills. In addition to the workshops, participants enjoyed lunch, received giveaways, and networked with staff members across departments.
“This career day was engaging and enlightening for everyone involved,” said Victoria Wilkerson, Business Development & Outreach Specialist at NRS. “Our employees were energized by the students’ curiosity and ambition, while the young people gained exposure to career possibilities they may not have previously considered. It’s exactly the kind of meaningful community engagement that NRS Cares was designed to foster.”
The event highlighted NRS’s broader mission to empower small businesses and uplift communities throughout the United States and Canada, while also investing in the next generation of leaders through mentorship and educational outreach.
