South Asian Retailers Gather in New Jersey for Inaugural Networking Meetup Hosted by NRS

Hundreds of South Asian entrepreneurs representing diverse retail sectors, including hospitality, convenience stores, gas stations, and liquor stores, came together for the inaugural Retailers Networking Meetup on April 24, 2025, at Albert Palace in Fords, New Jersey.

The event was organized by National Retail Solutions (NRS), in partnership with Renascent Media and Rainbow Heaven Distributors LLC.

Assistant Director of Sales at NRS, Shariff Khowessa, highlighted the company’s role in helping small business owners remain competitive in an increasingly consolidated retail landscape.

“It was inspiring to see so many passionate retailers coming together to connect, learn, and grow,” said Elie Y. Katz, CEO of NRS in a statement. “At NRS, we are committed to equipping independent retailers with innovative solutions and meaningful partnerships that help them thrive. Events like these strengthen our retail community and drive collective success.”

President of Renascent Media, Tanvi Prenita Chandra, reflecting on the event’s impact noted “The response to our inaugural meetup was incredibly positive, with attendees praising the unique format and valuable networking opportunities. Many expressed enthusiasm for future events and offered their support to help grow these gatherings even bigger. We’re grateful to everyone who contributed to making this event such a success.”

CEO of Rainbow Heaven Distributors LLC, Anil Patel, added, “The meetup was a fantastic success. It provided an ideal platform for retailers to exchange ideas, discover innovative products, and build lasting relationships. We are proud to support the growth and success of the South Asian retail community.”

Vice President of NRS Petro, Charles Binau, also addressed the audience, sharing insights on new strategies and technological innovations specific to the gas station industry.

The evening concluded with a lively performance by actor, director, and radio personality Kulraaj Anand, who added a festive touch to the occasion. Attendees also enjoyed a variety of cuisines, exciting giveaways, and ample opportunities to connect and collaborate with peers across the retail sector.
