Dr. Suresh Reddy has been reelected to a second term as Trustee for Oak Brook Township in Illinois. He won the April 1, 2025, election along with fellow candidates Jim Nagle and Dr. Melissa Martin.

“I am truly humbled and deeply grateful for the trust and support you’ve shown me in this election. This victory isn’t mine alone—it belongs to every resident who believes in a united, forward-thinking, and inclusive Oak Brook,” said Dr. Reddy, who previously served as President of the American Association of Physicians of Indian Origin.

Dr. Reddy was one of four candidates competing for three open Trustee positions. Oak Brook, a suburban village of nearly 10,000 residents located 15 miles west of downtown Chicago, is known for its affluence and strategic location. The community is well-connected by major transportation routes, including the Tri-State Tollway, the East-West Tollway, and the Eisenhower Expressway.

Bordering municipalities include Villa Park, Elmhurst, Lombard, Oakbrook Terrace, Westchester, Westmont, Clarendon Hills, Downers Grove, and Hinsdale.

“Your faith in me renews my commitment to serve with integrity, transparency, and purpose. Thank you, Oak Brook, for electing me with a landslide majority. I am honored to serve alongside Jim Nagle and Dr. Melissa Martin—two outstanding individuals whose unique talents will be invaluable to our community,” Dr. Reddy told residents following his reelection.

He emphasized his dedication to inclusive leadership, saying he is “more determined than ever to represent every corner of our vibrant community. Oak Brook stands at a pivotal moment in its growth and development,” while reaffirming his belief in “open dialogue, mutual respect, and shared values.”

Dr. Reddy completed his advanced medical training at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center/Harvard Medical School, where he also served on the faculty for over a decade and led as Chief of Interventional Neuroradiology. He and his family later relocated to Chicago, which they now call home.

His wife, Leela, originally from Greenville, South Carolina, holds a master’s degree in health management and policy. Before moving to Chicago, she served as Director at Network Health Boston, an HMO health plan. Their son, Rohun, is a JD/MBA graduate from Northwestern University and currently practices corporate law.
