Patton International Ltd has won Eaton’s Global Supplier Excellence Award 2026, becoming the only Indian company to receive the recognition, the Kolkata-based engineering manufacturer said.
The award recognizes suppliers for performance in quality, delivery, innovation and operational excellence and gives Patton a higher-profile position within the global supply chain of Eaton, the U.S.-based power-management company.
Patton operates eight manufacturing plants in West Bengal and employs more than 3,500 people, according to the company. It supplies high-precision engineering components to multinational companies including Eaton, ABB and Emerson and has approvals from international quality bodies including Underwriters Laboratories and the Canadian Standards Association.
The company’s manufacturing and export operations have also received government recognition, including National Export Awards from the President and Prime Minister of India.
The award comes as Indian manufacturers seek to expand their role in global value chains, where quality consistency, delivery reliability and compliance with international standards are increasingly important for retaining multinational customers.
Patton’s financial performance has strengthened in recent years. Its operating revenue rose to Rs. 780 crore in fiscal 2025 from Rs. 721 crore a year earlier, while its credit profile remained supported by a conservative capital structure and strong debt-coverage indicators, rating agency ICRA said in April. ICRA reaffirmed Patton’s long-term rating at AA- with a stable outlook and its short-term ratings at A1+.
The company is also an active exporter of industrial fasteners, builders’ hardware, conduit and cable fittings, stamped and tubular products, according to an Income Tax Appellate Tribunal order issued in February.
Eaton has annual revenue of about $27 billion, more than 93,000 employees and operations in more than 160 countries, with a supplier network of more than 8,000 companies, according to figures provided by Patton.
“Congratulations! It is a great recognition for Patton’s continuous efforts to provide excellent service to Eaton Corporation,” Eaton’s Director–Sourcing for its Global Energy Infrastructure Solutions division said. The official added that stronger engagement between Patton and the West Bengal government could further improve the ease of doing business with global customers.
Managing Director of Patton International, Sanjay Budhia, said the award reflected the contribution of the company’s workforce and its focus on quality, innovation and customer satisfaction.
“We are proud that products manufactured in Kolkata are competing with the very best in the world and contributing to India’s export success,” Budhia said.
The recognition also provides a boost to West Bengal’s efforts to position itself as a manufacturing and export base. Patton is headquartered in Kolkata and is classified as an industrial machinery manufacturer, with more than 1,000 employees, according to company information.
