Internationally acclaimed stand-up comedian Amit Tandon will bring his comedy show “Halwa” to Washington, D.C., for a one-night performance on August 22, 2026, at the Warner Theatre.
One of India’s best-known observational comedians, Tandon has performed more than 2,000 live shows across 30 countries and garnered more than 200 million views on YouTube. Known for relatable comedy centered on marriage, parenting, relationships, and everyday life, he has built a global following by finding humor in experiences that resonate across generations and cultures, according to a statement.
“Halwa” continues that approach, featuring Tandon’s observations on marriage and family life through storytelling and comedy.
Tandon’s career has taken him from an engineering background and early appearances at open-mic events to stages around the world.
His Netflix special, “Family Tandoncies,” became the streaming platform’s first Hindi-language solo stand-up special and remained in Netflix India’s Top 10 for 15 days.
Beyond stand-up comedy, Tandon hosted 126 episodes of “Good Night India” on Sony SAB and created and wrote the SonyLIV satire series “Chalo Koi Baat Nahin.”
He also created the Spotify Original podcast “Andar Ki Baat” and hosts the comedy podcast “Chaar Yaar.” Tandon has also appeared on Netflix’s “Comedy Premium League” and served as a commentator during the 2021 Indian Premier League season on Hotstar.
