New York, November 10, 2025 – The Cricket Association for the Blind in the United States of America (CABUSA) and Samarthanam USA have announced a strategic partnership with eClinicalWorks to promote cricket for the blind across the nation.

eClinicalWorks has come on board as the official team sponsor of the first-ever USA Women’s Cricket Team for the Blind, which will represent the country at the inaugural Women’s T20 World Cup – Cricket for the Blind 2025. The 16-member squad is currently in India for an intensive training camp ahead of the historic tournament.

A consistent supporter of social and community initiatives nationwide, eClinicalWorks’ backing of the USA Women’s team reflects its commitment to inclusivity and empowerment through sports. The sponsorship comes at a crucial moment as the team prepares to compete on the global stage.

The Women’s T20 World Cup – Cricket for the Blind 2025 will be held from November 11 to 23 across New Delhi, Bengaluru, and Colombo, featuring six participating nations — Australia, India, Nepal, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, and the United States.

Mahantesh G. Kivadasannavar, founder of Samarthanam and Chairman of the Cricket Association for the Blind in India, described the collaboration as deeply meaningful.

Kivadasannavar said, “This is a proud and emotional moment for CABUSA and every individual who believed in these incredible women. Their journey is a testament to courage, teamwork, and the power of inclusion. The jersey they wear tells a story of resilience and hope — a story that belongs to every visually impaired athlete who dares to dream. We are deeply grateful to eClinicalWorks for standing beside us and sharing our vision of empowerment through sport.”

What began as a vision to create opportunities for visually impaired athletes has now evolved into a growing national movement. Over the past year, CABUSA’s outreach has engaged more than 1,000 visually impaired individuals across the country, helping reshape perceptions around disability and athletic potential.

“At eClinicalWorks, we are extremely proud to support the first-ever USA Women’s Cricket Team for the Blind. We believe this is a huge step towards breaking down barriers and redefining possibilities,” said Mahesh Navani, COO at eClinicalWorks. “This partnership is particularly special to us, as the spirit of sportsmanship guides our operations, encouraging teamwork, resilience and inclusivity. We are thrilled to be part of this journey and look forward to celebrating the triumphs and growth of these inspiring women.”

Team Captain Abey Finklea expressed gratitude on behalf of her teammates, noting their rapid progress despite being a newly formed squad. “As the Captain of the U.S. Women’s Cricket Team for the Blind, I would like to extend my sincere gratitude to our sponsors for their unwavering support and their commitment to advancing our team and organization. Although our team was established only five months ago and many of our players are new to the sport, our progress has been exceptional. In preparation for the upcoming World Cup, we recently played our first official match as a team—and I am proud to share that we secured victory in our debut practice game.”

She added, “Competing against the Delhi team, which has been training together for a significantly longer period, our players demonstrated remarkable dedication, skill, and teamwork that led to our success. On behalf of the entire team, thank you for believing in our vision and for playing an integral role in our journey.”

Ajith Bhaskar, president of CABUSA, praised the global event’s focus on inclusivity and sportsmanship. “I extend my heartfelt wishes to all the teams participating in the upcoming Women’s Cricket World Cup. This global platform stands as a powerful symbol of determination and inclusivity, and I am immensely proud of the athletes representing the United States with dedication and spirit.”

Bhaskar also expressed appreciation to eClinicalWorks for making the team’s participation possible, and to Samarthanam and Dr. Mahantesh for their ongoing leadership in promoting blind cricket globally. “Together, we continue to champion empowerment through sport,” he said.

The tournament will feature 15 league matches, two semi-finals, and a grand finale. Pakistan will play its matches at a neutral venue in Colombo, Sri Lanka.

The event is organized by the Cricket Association for the Blind in India (CABI), the cricketing arm of the Samarthanam Trust for the Disabled, with the Sri Lanka Cricket Association for the Visually Handicapped as co-host. The initiative highlights India’s leadership in fostering equitable opportunities for athletes with disabilities, particularly women.
