Chicago, IL, Sep 27, 2025: The Global Indian Diaspora Foundation, with the support of the Consulate General of India in Chicago, hosted the Viksit Bharat Run 2025 at the scenic Twin Lake Golf Course, celebrating unity, environmental stewardship, and cultural pride.
The event brought together families, community leaders, and dignitaries, strengthening ties within the Indian American diaspora, according to organizers.

General Secretary Abhinav Raina expressed appreciation to participants and partners, noting, “This event is possible only because of our vibrant diaspora—leaders, families, and volunteers coming together to create lasting positive change in both our Matra Bhoomi and our Karam Bhoomi.”
The program opened with renditions of the national anthems of India and the United States by Soham and Saha Kothari, followed by a tree-planting ceremony led by Consul General Ghosh. The initiative, themed “Maa Ke Naam,” symbolized a pledge toward a greener and more harmonious future.
