AM SAFE AND WELL! Nothing will slow me down. I will NEVER SURRENDER! I will always love you for supporting me. Unity. Peace. Make America Great Again,” said Trump in a message from his campaign.

Democratic Presidential Candidate and Vice President, Kamala Harris noted “I am deeply disturbed by the possible assassination attempt of former President Trump today. As we gather the facts, I will be clear: I condemn political violence. We all must do our part to ensure that this incident does not lead to more to violence.”

Congressman Shri Thanedar said, “I condemn the attempted assassination of former President Trump, and am glad he is okay. Political violence has no place in our nation.”

“Very thankful President Trump is safe and okay. Rhetoric from Joe Biden and Kamala Harris have now led to TWO assassination attempts on President Trump. Shameful,” said Ohio State Senator, Niraj Antani.

The Secret Service spotted the suspect, Ryan Wesley Routh with a rifle at the golf course, and fired at him. The suspect tried to flee in his vehicle but was swiftly nabbed by the Secret Service. He is in the custody now, and the Federal Bureau of Investigation is investigating the case.
