Paaie Marks Second Anniversary with Community Celebration in Virginia

Paaie, a South Asian fashion and jewelry boutique at Dulles Town Center in Virginia, celebrated its second anniversary on August 9 with a gathering of customers, community members and well-wishers.

The boutique offers a collection of contemporary and traditional South Asian clothing, including designer sarees, lehengas and everyday attire, along with handcrafted silver jewelry. In addition to its showroom at Dulles Town Center and warehouse in Chantilly, Virginia, Paaie has expanded its online presence through Paaie.com, serving customers across the United States and beyond.

Loudoun County Treasurer Henry C. Eickelberg, who attended the celebration, congratulated proprietors Mayank and Anjali Gupta on the milestone.

“It was truly an honor to join Paaie’s proprietors, Mayank and Anjali Gupta, in celebrating their boutique’s second anniversary. Their presence adds so much to Loudoun’s community. I wish them much continued success and many more wonderful anniversaries to come,” Eickelberg told South Asian Herald (SAH).

Aparna Madireddi, a member of the Virginia Humanities Board, said the success of a business depends “less on luck” and more on the “quiet courage” to show up every day with heart.

“In just two years, Mayank, Anjali, Riya, and Yashvi have turned their store into a true community space for Northern Virginia through sheer dedication, hard work, and care,” Madireddi told SAH, congratulating the family on the milestone.

The idea for Paaie originated with the Guptas’ daughters, Riya and Yashvi, whose parents supported their vision and helped turn it into a successful business.

Reflecting on the boutique’s two-year journey, the Paaie family said its original vision extended beyond creating a retail destination.

“Two years ago, Paaie opened its doors with a vision to create more than a place to shop. We wanted to build a space where fashion, culture, creativity, and community could come together. Watching that vision grow through the support of our customers, friends, partners, and the DMV community has been incredibly meaningful to our family. This anniversary is as much a celebration of them as it is of Paaie,” the Paaie family told SAH.

Alok Srivastava, president of the United Hindu Jain Temples (UJIT) Association, said the turnout at the anniversary celebration reflected Paaie’s “growing popularity,” adding that guests appreciated the boutique’s selection, quality and accessible pricing.

“More than a commercial venture, Paaie’s journey reflects a heartfelt commitment to preserving, promoting and popularizing Indian ethnic traditions and craftsmanship for new generations and audiences worldwide,” added Srivastava.
