Tanishq, the fine jewelry brand from the Tata Group, has expanded its presence in the United States with the opening of its first New England store in Westborough, Massachusetts. The 4,000-square-foot showroom, located at 303 Turnpike Road, began operations on December 4 and was formally inaugurated on March 6, marking the brand’s 10th location in the U.S.
According to a statement from Tanishq, the expansion holds particular significance for the growing Indian diaspora across Massachusetts and the wider New England region. Beyond a retail addition, the new store brings a brand closely associated with Indian celebrations, weddings, and life milestones closer to the community.

“With this launch, Tanishq continues to strengthen its presence across key East Coast hubs including New Jersey, Virginia, and Florida,” the statement noted. “The expansion also reflects the brand’s strategy to deepen its presence in high-density diaspora markets while building relevance in newer regions.”
The inauguration event underscored Tanishq’s cultural engagement with the community. It featured a traditional ribbon-cutting and lamp-lighting ceremony, followed by a curated cultural program that included a Bharatanatyam performance and a fashion presentation of the brand’s collections.
The event was attended by Consul General of India Raghuram S., State Senator Michael Moore, and other local civic leaders.
The New England region is home to a growing Indian diaspora, with nearly 40,000 households across Massachusetts, New Hampshire, and Connecticut. This demographic has contributed to increasing demand for bridal, festive, and everyday fine jewelry.

With its Westborough location, Tanishq brings its “signature craftsmanship and Tata service ethos” directly to customers in the region, offering a trusted destination for Indian jewelry.
“Opening in Westborough marks an important milestone as we establish our presence in New England,” said Amrit Pal Singh, Head of Business – North America, Titan Company Limited. “Our 10th U.S. store reflects the growing appreciation for Indian craftsmanship, and we are excited to bring Tanishq’s heritage of gold artistry and contemporary design to this market.”
The new showroom features more than 5,000 designs across bridal, festive, and contemporary collections. The offerings blend traditional Indian craftsmanship with modern design sensibilities and are curated to reflect both regional preferences and evolving global aesthetics, the statement added.
