Virginia Governor Abigail Spanberger has endorsed Congressman Suhas Subramanyam for reelection in Virginia’s current and proposed 10th Congressional District.
“In Congress, Congressman Subramanyam has hit the ground running to deliver results for Virginians. He has championed legislation to address the affordability crisis in the Commonwealth — including the high costs of housing, healthcare, and child care — and has stood up for federal workers in the face of the President’s attacks. I look forward to working with Suhas to improve the lives of all Virginians, and I am proud to endorse his re-election campaign,” Governor Spanberger said in a statement on February 19.
In response, Rep. Subramanyam said, “I am honored to receive Governor Abigail Spanberger’s endorsement. In the coming months, our campaign will reach out to Virginia voters to share our vision for the future–lowering costs, protecting federal workers, and holding President Trump accountable. I am excited to work with the Governor to do just that.”
Since launching his reelection campaign in January, Subramanyam has also secured endorsements from U.S. Senators Mark Warner and Tim Kaine, as well as former 10th District Congresswoman Jennifer Wexton.
According to the statement, Subramanyam plans to run in either the current or proposed configuration of Virginia’s 10th Congressional District and will respect the outcome as voters head to the polls this spring.
