US Ambassador Sergio Gor Presents Credentials to President Droupadi Murmu in New Delhi

United States Ambassador to the Republic of India, Sergio Gor, presented his credentials to Indian President Droupadi Murmu during an official ceremony on January 14, at Rashtrapati Bhavan in New Delhi, India. 

With the presentation of credentials, Ambassador Gor formally became the 27th United States Ambassador to India. He said, “It is an honor to present my credentials to Indian President Murmu and to serve in India at a time of such promise and opportunity in the U.S.-India relationship,” according to the U.S. Embassy in New Delhi.

“I look forward to working closely with the Government of India and the Indian people to advance our shared priorities in defense, trade, technology, and critical minerals, and to further strengthen the partnership between our two great democracies,” he added.

Prior to assuming his duties in New Delhi, Ambassador Gor served as Assistant to the President and Director of Presidential Personnel at the White House.
