Netflix continues to take Indian stories and talent to audiences around the world, with Vir Das: Fool Volumeearning a nomination in the Comedy category at the International Emmy® Awards 2026.
The nomination marks another significant milestone in Vir Das’ journey with Netflix. In 2023, he became the first Indian comedian to win the award for Vir Das: Landing and in 2021 was nominated for another special titled Vir Das: For India. He also hosted the International Emmys in 2024, becoming the first Indian to host the ceremony.
Known for his distinctive brand of observational comedy and social commentary, Vir Das continues to connect with audiences across geographies through his work. The nomination underscores the growing resonance of Indian storytelling and comedy, with Netflix continuing to provide a platform for distinctive voices and talent from India to reach audiences worldwide.
