Sri Lanka, Andhra Pradesh Explore Trade and Tourism Cooperation

Sri Lanka’s Deputy High Commissioner for Southern India, Dr. Ganesanathan Geathiswaran, paid a courtesy call on Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu on August 28, 2026.

During the meeting, the two officials discussed ways to further strengthen the longstanding relationship between Sri Lanka and Andhra Pradesh, with a particular focus on “tourism, trade and investment, and pilgrimage tourism.”

Dr. Geathiswaran highlighted opportunities to expand trade and investment cooperation by fostering greater engagement between the region’s business communities and identifying new avenues for economic collaboration.
