London-based singer, songwriter, and composer Ekta Rana has been honored with the Arts and Culture Award at the prestigious SHE Awards, co-founded by Sharifa Begum and judged by an esteemed panel. The recognition highlights her contributions to the arts and culture landscape.
Known for blending Indian classical traditions with contemporary sounds, Rana “writes, composes, and performs” her own original music, steadily earning acclaim for her “emotive voice and storytelling.” According to a statement, her work explores themes of “love, identity, and cultural connection,” resonating with audiences across the United Kingdom and beyond.

Reflecting on the recognition, Rana said: “It is truly an honor to receive this recognition. Music has always been my way of expressing emotion and connection, and this inspires me to continue creating and sharing my journey.”
The award comes at a significant moment in Rana’s career. Her album Colours of Love (2025) was written and composed by Ekta and produced by Kuljit Bhamra MBE. Her 2026 single Jhoom, produced by Rishi Rich, highlights her continued artistic evolution and engagement with contemporary collaborations.
