The India–United States Foreign Office Consultations co-chaired by India’s Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri and U.S. Under Secretary of State Allison Hooker were held on December 9, 2025, in New Delhi, India.

According to a statement from the Ministry of External Affairs, the consultations offered an opportunity for a comprehensive review of the India–U.S. Comprehensive Global Strategic Partnership.

“The two sides discussed key bilateral issues, including trade and investment, defense cooperation, the TRUST initiative, energy cooperation including civil nuclear collaboration, technology, critical minerals, and trusted supply chains,” the statement noted. It added that discussions also covered “regional and global developments of mutual interest, with both sides underscoring their shared commitment to a free and open Indo-Pacific.”

Both delegations welcomed steady progress across existing dialogue mechanisms and agreed to accelerate implementation of “Catalyzing Opportunities for Military Partnership, Accelerated Commerce and Technology (COMPACT) for the 21st Century” to advance cooperation across key pillars of the partnership.
