India’s Foreign Minister S. Jaishankar will represent the Government of India at the swearing-in ceremony of President Donald Trump on January 20, 2025, in Washington, D.C.
According to a statement from India’s Ministry of External Affairs, based on an invitation from the Trump-Vance Inaugural Committee, Foreign Minister Jaishankar “will represent the Government of India at the Swearing-In Ceremony of President-Elect Donald J. Trump as the 47th President of the United States of America.”
During his visit, Minister Jaishankar is also expected to hold meetings with members of the incoming U.S. Administration and other dignitaries attending the inaugural celebrations.
