The American Telugu Association (ATA) has announced that its 19th ATA Convention and Youth Conference will be held from July 31 to August 2, 2026, at the Baltimore Convention Center, bringing together thousands of attendees from across the United States, Canada, India, and several other countries.

The event is expected to be one of the largest and most comprehensive Telugu gatherings ever organized outside India, according to an ATA statement. Hundreds of volunteers have spent months preparing for the convention, overseeing logistics, hospitality, transportation, registration, technology, security, stage production, cultural programs, exhibitions, guest relations, youth activities, business forums, and medical conferences.

“As the countdown enters its final days, Baltimore is ready to welcome the global Telugu community for three days of celebration, learning, networking, and inspiration. This year’s convention holds special significance as ATA celebrates 35 years of service to the Telugu community,” the statement said.

Founded in 1991, ATA has grown into one of North America’s leading Telugu organizations, promoting the Telugu language and culture while supporting education, healthcare, youth leadership, entrepreneurship, humanitarian initiatives, disaster relief, scholarships, professional networking, and community service, according to the organization. ATA said the Baltimore convention will celebrate the organization’s 35-year journey while highlighting its vision for the future of the global Telugu community.

A key feature of the convention will be the Business and Entrepreneurship Forum, which will bring together business leaders, investors, startup founders, and aspiring entrepreneurs. Programs including B2B Matchmaking, executive networking sessions, the Mergers and Acquisitions Forum, and the ATA ZEE5 Idea Baaz Startup Competition are designed to foster partnerships, connect entrepreneurs with investors, and showcase innovation.

Healthcare will also remain a central focus of the convention. ATA said its Continuing Medical Education (CME) Conference will feature physicians, researchers, and healthcare professionals discussing advances in artificial intelligence in medicine, cardiology, oncology, diabetes, pulmonology, nephrology, vascular medicine, allergy and immunology, healthy aging, and other emerging areas of healthcare.

The convention’s schedule also includes political forums, the Weaves of Silk Fashion Show, the Niraval Live Concert, the ATA Beauty Pageant, the Youth Fashion Show, the Hanumath Charitham Kuchipudi dance production, Astavadhanam, literary conferences, Sri Shiva Parvathula Kalyanam, the Youth Cruise, the ATA Matrimony Meet, and one of the organization’s largest vendor exhibitions.

ATA President Jayanth Challa said, “The ATA Convention is much more than a three-day event. It is a celebration of our language, culture, heritage, achievements, and the remarkable journey of Telugu people around the world. Every volunteer and every committee has worked with passion and dedication to create an experience that will make our entire community proud. As ATA celebrates 35 years of service, we warmly invite everyone to join us in Baltimore for this historic milestone.”

ATA Convener Sridhar Banala said, “Preparations have reached an exciting stage. Our teams have spent months planning every detail so that every attendee enjoys outstanding programs, exceptional hospitality, seamless logistics, and unforgettable memories. We look forward to welcoming thousands of families to Baltimore.”

ATA is inviting Telugu families from around the world to participate in the convention. Registration information and the full program schedule are available on the organization’s website, www.ataworld.org.
