With the grace of Her Holiness Satguru Mata Sudiksha Ji Maharaj, the Sant Nirankari Mission’s New York-Connecticut Chapter hosted its second blood drive of the year on November 16, 2025, in Westbury, New York.
The event was organized in collaboration with State Senator Steve Rhoads, the New York Blood Center, and the Sant Nirankari Mission as part of a continuing community outreach effort. The drive ran from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. and drew dozens of donors from across the local area.

According to a statement from the Mission, young volunteers played a significant role in coordinating the event, highlighting the impact of youth participation in public service.
“The name Sant Nirankari Mission is synonymous with numerous humanitarian activities and are deeply embedded within the spiritual message of the Mission,” the statement said. It noted that the Mission has long been involved in initiatives such as blood, food, toy, and coat drives, as well as programs supporting women and children through vocational training and various relief efforts during natural disasters.

Earlier in the day, organizers welcomed Senator Rhoads to the Mission’s Spiritual Center, where young children greeted him with flowers. During his visit, he toured the center and expressed strong interest in learning about the humanitarian work undertaken by the Mission, the statement added.
Senator Rhoads later addressed the congregation at the Sant Nirankari Spiritual Conference, urging attendees to embrace service, unity, and compassion. He noted that spiritual practice and civic engagement are closely linked and encouraged the community to continue contributing in both arenas.

Applauding the Mission’s global commitment to humanitarian causes, he shared that in coming together in faith and service, “we embody the highest ideals of humanity — love, unity, and selfless giving.”
Throughout the event, Senator Rhoads spoke with first-time donors and young volunteers, thanking them for their involvement and encouraging their continued participation in civic life. He also discussed statewide efforts to increase and sustain blood donations and expressed support for initiatives that promote youth leadership and community health.

Organizers reported that the blood drive not only met but exceeded its goal, collecting a total of 72 units. They attributed the strong turnout to both the senator’s presence and the community’s steady support. The Mission emphasized that blood donation remains a vital part of its message of universal brotherhood and service.
Representatives from the New York Blood Center expressed appreciation for the Mission’s selfless commitment. The Sant Nirankari Mission plans to continue hosting similar events, aiming to build on the momentum generated on November 16.
