National Retail Solutions (NRS), a subsidiary of IDT Corporation (NYSE: IDT), in partnership with Krasdale Foods, welcomed more than 250 merchants and employees to its annual Customer Appreciation Day on July 30 at Citi Field in Queens, New York.

According to an NRS statement, the annual event brought together NRS and Krasdale partner retailers, along with NRS/IDT employees, for a tailgate celebration followed by the New York Mets’ game against the Miami Marlins as a gesture of appreciation for their partnership and contributions.

The evening began with a tailgate gathering outside the stadium before attendees entered the ballpark for the game. Store owners, NRS employees, and Krasdale team members came together, with many meeting in person for the first time after years of working together. The event also offered independent retailers an opportunity to step away from their day-to-day responsibilities and connect with colleagues.

The statement noted that independent merchants are central to both organizations. Customer Appreciation Day is one of the ways NRS and Krasdale recognize their contributions, complementing the year-round support they provide through NRS technology, NRS Cares initiatives, and Krasdale’s distribution, merchandising, and marketing services.

“Seeing more than 250 of our partner retailers and employees together at the ballpark is what Appreciation Day is all about,” said Elie Y. Katz, president and CEO of NRS. “These are the people behind the counter and behind NRS who work incredibly hard every single day. An evening of good food, good company, and Mets baseball is a small way of saying thank you for everything they do.”
