As India prepares to commemorate Republic Day 2026, the Ministry of Defense, in partnership with MyGov, has invited citizens to take part in what officials describe as a “vibrant series of national online contests and activities.”

According to a statement from the Indian Embassy, these initiatives are intended to “ignite curiosity, inspire creativity, and deepen our collective appreciation for India’s timeless heritage and remarkable journey.”
The Embassy underscored that Republic Day is more than a national celebration. It marks the historic moment when the Constitution came into force, establishing India as the world’s largest democracy. The statement noted that the day serves as a tribute to the values that define the nation and the progress it continues to pursue.

“It is a moment to honor the ideals that define us and celebrate the progress we continue to make together,” the Embassy stated. “Through these engaging competitions, we call upon citizens, especially students, youth, and creative minds, to express their patriotism, showcase their talents, and share their vision for a stronger, united, and progressive India.”
