Quincy, Boston: On February 16, 2025, the Foundation of Indian-Americans (FIA) New England, a leading community organization, co-hosted an exclusive event to honor Editor-in-Chief of The Lallan Top, Saurabh Dwivedi, for his outstanding contributions to journalism.
The gathering brought together leaders from various community organizations, celebrating excellence in the field of journalism. The FIA team, led by President Abhishek Singh, Vice President Rakesh Kavsari, Secretary Amol Penshanwar, and FIA executives Anand Sharma, Manisha Kumar, and Sanjiv Tripathi, welcomed Dwivedi, according to a statement from the organization.
President of FIA New England, Abhishek Singh remarked “Mr. Dwivedi’s work at The Lallan Top has not only reshaped Indian journalism but has also made a profound impact globally, giving voice to the voiceless and tackling critical issues with compassion and depth.”
During the event, Dwivedi shared exciting news about his upcoming initiative, “Pragyan,” a platform dedicated to supporting research scholars. The project aims to foster intellectual discourse and facilitate collaborative research on pressing societal issues.
Additionally, Dwivedi also shared an exclusive list of 20 must-read books that have profoundly influenced his personal and professional journey. Covering history, culture, politics, and philosophy, the list was curated to encourage deeper thinking and broaden perspectives.
Expressing gratitude for the honor, Dwivedi highlighted the role of the media in bridging cultural divides and emphasized the Indian diaspora’s impact on global conversations. The event facilitated meaningful discussions, reinforcing the collective strength and influence of the Indian-American community.
The evening saw participation from a diverse spectrum of Indian-American organizations, including Sankalp and Marathi Mandal. Marathi Mandal President Sonali Jadhav, along with core team members Sandeep Jadhav and Vicky Jadhav, attended the event to extend their support.
Attendees traveled from across the U.S. including Massachusetts, Maine, Rhode Island, New Jersey, and Washington D.C. Notable guests included Vikash Deshpande and Krishna Gudipati from Washington D.C.and Ravi Kumar from New York. Local community members, including Vinay Prashad, Sunny, and Ishwar, also joined the celebration.
