U.S. Deputy Secretary of State Christopher Landau met with an Indian All-Party Parliamentary Delegation in Washington on June 6, 2025, reaffirming the United States’ “strong support of India in the fight against terrorism and the strategic partnership between the two countries.”

According to a statement issued by State Department Spokesperson Tammy Bruce, the meeting focused on advancing key areas of the bilateral relationship, particularly the expansion of trade and commercial ties aimed at fostering economic growth and prosperity in both nations.
Following the meeting, Deputy Secretary Landau shared a social media post stating, “I reaffirmed that the U.S. stands strong with India in the fight against terrorism,” and noted that he and the delegation also discussed the broader U.S.-India strategic relationship, including efforts to “expand trade and commercial ties to foster growth and prosperity for both countries.”
