Democrat Anuj Dixit, a candidate for U.S. Congress from California’s 41st District, has received the endorsement of Congressman Dave Min, who represents California’s 47th Congressional District. This marks the first endorsement by a sitting Democratic Member of Congress in the CA-41 race.

The endorsement comes shortly after Dixit raised over $300,000 within the first five weeks of launching his campaign. According to a statement from Dixit’s campaign, Congressman Min’s backing, particularly as a victor in one of the most competitive congressional races of the 2024 cycle, signals that Dixit is emerging as the leading Democratic contender to unseat longtime Republican incumbent Ken Calvert.

In the statement, Congressman Dave Min noted “I’m proud to endorse Anuj Dixit for Congress in CA-41. As a lawyer, Anuj worked to make sure the middle class had a voice in our political system, and as a member of Congress, he will make sure the next generation of Inland Empire residents has what they need to succeed.”

Min emphasized that Dixit’s deep roots in the Inland Empire, having grown up on March Air Force Base, give him a strong understanding of the community and position him as the most competitive Democrat to flip CA-41 in the upcoming election.

Reacting to the endorsement, Dixit stated, “I’m honored to have the support of Congressman Dave Min. He’s a champion for California’s working families, and I look forward to working with him in Congress. His early endorsement is a clear sign of the growing momentum behind our campaign,” adding “We’re building the kind of coalition it takes to defeat career politicians like Ken Calvert and deliver a government that puts working and middle-class families first.”

Dixit was raised on March Air Force Base in Riverside County, the son of immigrants and a father who served six years in the U.S. Air Force. His upbringing instilled in him the values of public service, hard work, and community.

As an attorney, “Dixit defended the voting rights of working and middle-class Americans who had them unfairly ripped away by extreme, and illegal, forms of gerrymandering. He prepared experts and victims for Congressional hearings, clerked for a federal judge, and won some of the toughest legal fights at the highest levels,” the campaign statement added.
