Paaie, the Virginia-based South Asian fashion brand, made a dazzling return to the global stage with its showcase at New York Fashion Week (NYFW) on September 13, 2025, at The Edison Ballroom in New York City.

Known for blending tradition with modernity, the brand presented four consecutive shows featuring more than 55 models from across the United States and Guyana. Paaie’s designs not only captivated audiences on the runway but also turned heads on the streets of New York, where striking street photography sessions carried the collection beyond the catwalk.

This year marked Paaie’s fifth appearance at NYFW, reinforcing its presence on one of the world’s premier fashion stages. The runway was headlined by Miss Universe Guyana 2025, Chandini Baljor, who walked as the showstopper, drawing international attention to the collection.

Other prominent participants included Miss India USA 2025 Caitlin Sandra Neil, Miss Teen India USA 2025 Arshia Kathpalia, Mrs. India USA 2015 Leena Keshwani, and Mrs. India USA 2025 First Runner-Up Sapna Mishra.

Baljor described her experience as “an absolute pleasure and a truly memorable experience. The warmth and hospitality I received made me feel right at home,” adding that she would gladly “embrace” the opportunity to return.

Sandra Neil reflected, “Representing Paaie at New York Fashion Week 2025 was an incredible honor. Showcasing South Asian designs on a global stage was both empowering and inspiring, and being surrounded by the energy, creativity, and diversity of NYFW made it an experience I’ll always treasure.”

For Keshwani, the show highlighted Paaie’s ability to unite heritage with contemporary elegance.

“As Mrs. India Colorado 2014 and Mrs. India USA 2015, I am honored to return to New York Fashion Week for the second time with Paaie. Their collections masterfully unite India’s rich heritage with contemporary sophistication, while the Paaie team’s professionalism and genuine care create an extraordinary experience for every model.”

She added that walking for Paaie is not just a “runway appearance” but a celebration of “culture, artistry, and empowerment” on the global stage.

Expressing gratitude to the Paaie family for an unforgettable NYFW, Mishra shared that as a brand that embodies vibrant cultural ethnicity through its Indian clothing and jewelry, Paaie’s dedication shone through at every step.

“Their seamless organization, from fittings and practices to making sure every model was comfortable, truly brought out the best in everyone on stage. It’s that personal, dedicated touch that makes working with them and representing their beautiful heritage so special.”

Behind the success is the Gupta family, parents Mayank and Anjali, owners of Paiee, along with daughters Riya and Yashvi, who co-founded Paaie. They describe the journey as one rooted in “dedication, vision, and hard work.”

What began as a modest venture in ethnic jewelry and silver products has since grown into a household name in South Asian fashion.

The family noted that recognizing the potential of e-commerce during the COVID-19 pandemic was a turning point. Their online platform now serves over 12,000 customers nationwide. Expanding into apparel in 2022, Paaie quickly became a “go-to destination” for men’s, women’s, and children’s fashion, marrying timeless Indian craftsmanship with contemporary design.

According to them, the brand’s bold NYFW debut in 2023 opened doors to additional showcases in Paris, Orlando, and Washington, D.C. Over the past three years, Paaie has maintained a steady presence on international runways.

With a flagship retail store and a thriving online presence, the Gupta family emphasized they continue to “bridge communities through fashion.” Their latest success at NYFW is not just a “celebration of the brand, but also a testament to the growing influence of South Asian designers on the international stage,” according to the family.

Reflecting on the latest milestone, Yashvi noted, “I’m truly humbled and overjoyed by the incredible support from our community and team. Our models brought unmatched energy and elegance to the runway, making the show a celebration to remember,” adding “None of this would have been possible without all of you who continue to believe in and uplift Paaie’s journey. Together, we celebrate not just fashion, but the spirit of a growing movement.”

Riya Gupta added, “It’s truly amazing to see the love and support that has come together on this journey. We may work behind the scenes, but it’s our supermodels who bring it all to life. Without their belief, energy, and support, none of this would be possible.”

Looking ahead, Paaie will showcase its next collection at Paris Fashion Week on October 3, followed by its appearance at Miss India DC, MD, VA & WV on November 8.
