The New York-Connecticut Chapter of the Sant Nirankari Mission hosted the Mukti Parv Convention for the Northeastern region on August 17, 2025, at Hofstra University in New York.
The convention was presided over by Nirankari Rajpita Ji, with the blessings of Her Holiness Satguru Mata Sudiksha Ji Maharaj, and drew more than 1,200 participants, including over a dozen political and community leaders from across Long Island, according to a statement from the Mission.
Delivering the keynote address, Nirankari Rajpita Ji’s words “deeply moved” the gathering, the Mission noted. The convention honored the pioneers of the Sant Nirankari Mission while also serving as a space to pause, reflect, and renew the spiritual purpose of life.

Discussions covered themes such as “Mindfulness in Everyday Life” and “Living with Compassion”, encouraging devotees to strengthen their spiritual practices and reconnect with the present moment. Organizers emphasized that in today’s fast-paced world, mindfulness is a vital tool to remain connected with one’s true self—the Formless One, Nirankar.
Throughout the event, devotees shared personal experiences of spiritual growth, describing how the convention deepened their understanding of faith and practice. The program also featured soulful hymns and devotional music, fostering an atmosphere of reflection, meditation, and community spirit.
The convention concluded with a reflective discourse by Nirankari Rajpita Ji, who reminded participants that spiritual life is rooted in valuing human virtues.
“We are to remain cognizant of our roles and responsibilities as the torch bearers of the ultimate truth,” he said, urging practitioners to embrace complete surrender without hesitation. To illustrate, he shared a story of a devotee who, after years of estrangement, returned to his spiritual mentor with a large offering of wealth. When the mentor instructed him to throw the riches into a lake, the devotee hesitated, lamenting the years of toil it had taken to acquire. The story underscored the difficulty of detachment and the spiritual importance of letting go.
Reflecting on the human condition, Nirankari Rajpita Ji added, “Today’s man has been desensitized to a point of no return. He inflicts pain and suffering upon fellow men with unflinching reactions.”
The New York-Connecticut Chapter expressed gratitude to Satguru Mata Sudiksha Ji Maharaj for the opportunity to host the gathering and extended thanks to visiting devotees, volunteers, and attendees, with a message of continued spiritual growth.
