Renascent Media will launch #OakTreeStories, a community initiative focused on promoting Oak Tree Road’s businesses, people and culture, with a free Bollywood music event and neighborhood cleanup on October 10, 2026, in Iselin, New Jersey.
The inaugural event, #OakTreeStories: Bollywood Jamming, will begin at 3 p.m. in the Raj Jewels Bansal Group parking lot at 1376 Oak Tree Road. Presented by Raj Jewels Bansal Group, the event will feature live music, instrumental performances, dance, rap, activities hosted by participating brands and giveaways.
According to a statement from Renascent Media, the initiative aims to raise awareness of Oak Tree Road as a business district and South Asian destination, encourage residents and visitors to shop locally, and support community participation in cleanup and beautification efforts.
The entertainment lineup includes Madhukar Kshirsagar, Om Guha, rapper KSD, Raja and Team, “Keeping Bollywood Alive,” and Karan’s Kissa: The Collective. Performances will span Bollywood favorites, Indian classical music, rap and contemporary music.
Woodbridge Township Mayor John E. McCormac, township Chief of Staff Caroline Ehrlich and Councilman Virbhadra “Viru” Patel are expected to attend, along with local business and community representatives.
“An initiative like this would not be possible without the support and cooperation of the Township,” said Tanvi Prenita Chandra, founder and president of Renascent Media. “We are grateful for their encouragement as we work to bring greater recognition to Oak Tree Road, support its businesses, engage the community, and create a cleaner, greener and more welcoming business district.”
Chandra said the initiative seeks to highlight the people and businesses that contribute to the area’s identity.
“#OakTreeStories is about giving Oak Tree Road the recognition it deserves as a business district and destination, while celebrating the people and businesses behind it,” she said. “We want to bring greater awareness to Oak Tree Road, encourage people to visit, shop and support our local businesses, and create experiences that build pride in this very special community.”
Alongside the entertainment, players from the Old Bridge High School boys volleyball team will volunteer to clean the stretch of Oak Tree Road between Middlesex Avenue and Correja Avenue on October 10.
The initiative will also encourage businesses and community members to add plants and greenery along the road to help improve the district’s appearance.
With Woodbridge Township’s support and approval, Medha Art Studio will decorate one of the benches along Oak Tree Road with an Indian-inspired artistic design, according to the statement.
“Oak Tree Road belongs to all of us, and #OakTreeStories is about much more than entertainment,” Chandra said. “It is about taking pride in our business district. We are especially thankful to the Township, the Old Bridge High School Boys Volleyball Team and Medha Art Studio for joining us in these efforts. We hope to inspire more businesses, young people and community members to come together to help keep Oak Tree Road clean, green, beautiful and welcoming.”
Raj Jewels Bansal Group, the event’s title sponsor and a longtime Renascent Media client and partner, is providing its parking lot for the launch.
“We are truly grateful to Raj Jewels Bansal Group for their continued trust and support over the years,” Chandra said. “Their support as our Title Sponsor, along with providing the venue for our first #OakTreeStories event, reflects the kind of partnership and community spirit that makes initiatives like this possible.”
Renascent Media also acknowledged participating vendors, brands and media partners for supporting the launch and helping publicize the initiative.
The event is free and open to the community. Organizers are encouraging attendees to visit nearby businesses while taking part in the afternoon and evening activities.
Renascent Media is a woman-owned advertising, marketing and media agency with more than 20 years of experience connecting brands with multicultural audiences across the United States, according to the company.
