Dr. Nirav Shah, the Democratic candidate for governor of Maine, has announced the launch of his “Fix, Fund, Fuel, Fight Tour,” marking the next phase of his statewide town hall series as the primary campaign enters its final months.
Since the start of his campaign, Dr. Shah has held 15 town halls across Maine, drawing thousands of attendees and responding to hundreds of unscripted questions from voters. According to a statement from his campaign, the new phase of the tour is being introduced in response to growing interest from communities across the state.
Throughout April, Dr. Shah is scheduled to visit Windham, Cornish, Dresden, Bath, and Farmington, and will also host an additional virtual event. The tour is aimed at continuing direct engagement with residents, providing opportunities for open dialogue on key issues facing the state.
At each stop, Dr. Shah is expected to outline the central priorities of his campaign, including feeding children, addressing housing challenges, strengthening health care funding, supporting economic growth, and responding to policies of the Trump administration.
“These town halls are about showing up, listening, and earning trust,” said Dr. Shah. “Mainers deserve leaders who will take their questions directly and have honest conversations about how we move our state forward. That’s what this campaign is about.”
The events are designed to give community members an opportunity to hear directly from Dr. Shah, ask questions, and share their concerns. The campaign said it aims to continue engaging with voters across Maine as it builds momentum in the lead-up to the primary.
