ITServe Alliance will host its next in-person Capitol Hill Day on June 11, 2025, in Washington D.C.
The annual advocacy event aims to highlight the substantial contributions of ITServe members to the U.S. economy, including advancements in technology and innovation, local job creation, and support for STEM education. The initiative will also focus on pressing challenges faced by small and medium-sized businesses – particularly the urgent need for high-skilled immigration reform.
More than 150 U.S. Representatives and Senators, including influential committee chairs and key decision-makers, are expected to participate in the day-long event. Programming will include direct meetings on Capitol Hill and interactive sessions with lawmakers.
“Capitol Hill Day will feature Capitol Hill Meetings and interactive sessions with U.S. Congressmen and Senators,” Director of ITServe Alliance Policy Advocacy Committee (PAC) & Immigration, said Sateesh Reddy Nagilla, in a statement.
CPAC- Managing Director, Sudheer Venkat Chakka, emphasized the importance of member involvement, “With significant immigration legislation expected in Congress this year, we urgently request robust support from our ITServe members for CPAC’s strategic initiatives, including policy advocacy and essential fundraising aimed at engaging Members of Congress. We are requesting more members to join the ITServe Capitol Hill Day in our nation’s Capital.”
Anju Vallabhaneni, President of ITServe Alliance, reinforced the event’s strategic value noting, “ITServe Alliance’s Capitol Hill Day will serve as a powerful platform in educating policymakers on the issues that are important to our members and the business community, ensuring our needs and views are reflected in policy debates and outcomes.”
For over a decade, ITServe Alliance has actively engaged lawmakers and the U.S. Administration to protect the interests of its members. Capitol Hill Day is a key opportunity for the organization to unify its voice and bring critical issues to the forefront of legislative discussions.
Calling for greater member engagement, ITServe Governing Board Chair Raghu Chittimalla said, “It’s our collective voice. I call upon every member to be part of this important event, advocate for ITServe, and make our voices heard in the corridors of power.”
ITServe Alliance is a strong supporter of the HIRE Act (High Skilled Immigration Reform for Employment), introduced in Congress in 2024. The bill prioritizes innovation and STEM education and aims to curb brain drain. Among its key provisions is the removal of the H-1B cap for U.S. graduates holding advanced STEM degrees – a change that would help retain top global talent.
Representing hundreds of small and mid-sized businesses across the country, ITServe Alliance members play an essential role in building and maintaining mission-critical IT infrastructure for corporations, government agencies, and organizations.
The organization is also committed to empowering local communities through job creation and retention, while promoting STEM education through various corporate social responsibility initiatives.
President-Elect of ITServe, Siva Moopanar, who summarized the importance of the event, said “ITServe Alliance is consistently working to protect its members’ needs. To that end, ITServe Alliance, through its PAC team, is advocating on Capitol Hill and with the Administration. ITServe Alliance will use its collective voice to communicate with policymakers on important issues impacting our members.”
