The Consulate General of India in Seattle, in partnership with the Montana World Affairs Council and ZOHO, hosted the second edition of the Invest India Business Forum (IIBF) at the Bell Harbor International Conference Center on January 24, 2026, in Seattle, Washington.

CEOs and senior executives from several multinational companies in the Greater Seattle area, including Microsoft, Salesforce, Amazon, and T-Mobile, along with local dignitaries, attended the forum, according to a statement from the Consulate.

It noted that leading industry experts from the fields of Artificial Intelligence, Photonics, Quantum Computing, Ag-Tech, Healthcare, and Higher Education made detailed presentations on investment opportunities in India and highlighted the current state of progress and growth potential in these sectors.

As a follow-up to the Invest India Business Forum, Greater Seattle Partners, along with the Seattle Metropolitan Chamber of Commerce, will lead Washington State’s largest trade mission to India from January 28 to February 7, 2026. The delegation will include more than 30 members representing the Port of Seattle, the City of Bellevue’s Economic Development team, the Mayor of Redmond, and senior leadership from Microsoft, Amazon, and Boeing. Rebecca Lovell, Interim President and CEO of Greater Seattle Partners, addressed the gathering and expressed optimism about developing stronger commercial and investment ties between Seattle and India.

According to the statement, the event also featured experiential Indian products for tasting and export to the US Pacific Northwest market. These included premium Indian “Bhagwa Variety” pomegranates, which are expected to become available soon at local retail stores in the United States.

“These Bhagwa variety of Indian pomegranates produced in Maharashtra, Gujarat and Karnataka, are renowned worldwide for their rich flavor, deep red color and high nutritional value,” the statement said. “Since India is one of the leading producers of pomegranates in the world, there has been an increased demand in recent years after US granted market access to Indian pomegranates in 2023.”

Addressing the gathering, Eric Wexler, CEO of Providence, highlighted India’s healthcare potential and spoke about Providence’s recently inaugurated Global Capability Center in Hyderabad. The center is projected to create more than 2,000 new jobs and will focus on developing AI-enabled advanced healthcare technology solutions by leveraging India’s talent pool.

The presentation noted that the Government of India has recently adopted Zoho’s technology solutions, including its Office Suite, signaling encouragement for Indian startups.

The forum was also attended by a large delegation of senior business leaders from the Montana World Affairs Council. The statement noted that a youth delegation led by the Council had recently visited India, and Montana State Governor Greg Gianforte hosted a welcome reception for the group at the State Capitol in Helena.

The Invest India Business Forum aimed to deepen economic ties between the US Pacific Northwest and India by highlighting India’s investment potential across priority sectors.

It also served as a platform to showcase Indian export-ready products with strong prospects in the Greater Seattle market, complementing the Consulate’s ongoing efforts to advance the “3Ts – Trade, Tourism, and Technology” by promoting “investments, industry linkages and exports.”
