Indiaspora, a non-partisan organization focused on civic and political engagement since its founding in 2012, has congratulated the incoming Trump Administration, expressing optimism about the future of India-US relations and the continued prominence of Indian Americans in key government roles.

In congratulating President Donald Trump, the 47th President of the United States, Indiaspora Founder and Chairman MR Rangaswami noted “I expect US-India relations to continue flourishing amidst this new political climate in America.â€

Rangaswami highlighted the strong relationships established between senior government officials from both nations during President Trump’s first term. He said there is “strong bipartisan support†in the United States for strengthening the important bilateral partnership.

Indiaspora’s Executive Director, Sanjeev Joshipura, underscoring the organization’s mission said, “Two of Indiaspora’s key focus areas over the years have been our efforts to increase the Indian diaspora’s civic and political engagement in a nonpartisan manner, and to strengthen US-India ties.â€

Joshipura praised the tradition of American administrations from both political parties appointing Indian Americans to senior government positions and emphasized that the incoming Trump Administration continues this trend. He also affirmed Indiaspora’s commitment to catalyzing bilateral dialogues, as it has done in key events in New Delhi and Houston during previous Trump engagements.

“We are pleased that the Indian American community is more politically engaged and are proud of the diaspora voices in American politics today. President Trump’s second-term administration highlights the growing influence of Indian-Americans, with key appointments across civil rights, national security, and technology,†a statement from Indiaspora said.

Indiaspora congratulated prominent Indian Americans appointed to key roles in the Trump Administration, including Harmeet Kaur Dhillon, Vivek Ramaswamy, Kash Patel, Dr. Jay Bhattacharya, and Sriram Krishnan.
