Assemblywoman Michaelle Solages, chair of the NYS Black, Puerto Rican, Hispanic & Asian Caucus, has endorsed Jenifer Rajkumar for reelection.
In a statement, Solages said, “Assemblywoman Jenifer Rajkumar is a relentless, results-driven leader who wakes up every day focused on making life better for the people she serves. Her district is lucky to have a representative with her energy, discipline, and heart.”
Solages said Rajkumar has delivered “real victories,” ranging from securing “human rights and dignity” for domestic workers to engaging immigrant communities in the political process in new ways.
“She understands that government works best when every community has a voice, a seat, and a champion,” Solages added.
As of May, Rajkumar has received endorsements from several elected officials, including NYS Speaker Carl Heastie, Congressman Gregory Meeks, Senators Joe Addabbo and James Sanders, and Assemblymembers Andrew Hevesi, Michaelle Solages, Rodneyse Bichotte Hermelyn, Nily Rozic, Yudelka Tapia, Sam Berger, Kalman Yeger, Steve Stern, George Alvarez, and Chuck Lavine.
Rajkumar has also secured endorsements from several labor organizations, including 32BJ SEIU, Hotel and Gaming Trades Council, IBEW Local 3, Public Employees Federation, NYC District Council of Carpenters, and 1199SEIU.
