Zakir Khan, one of India’s most prominent comedians and a leading global voice in Hindi-language stand-up, has announced his 2026 North American tour, extending his international reach and bringing his distinctive storytelling style to audiences across the United States this spring.
According to a statement issued by the organizers, the tour will begin on April 17 at New York City’s Radio City Music Hall, followed by performances in Houston, San Jose, Seattle, Austin, Los Angeles, Boston, and Washington, D.C.
“Due to overwhelming demand, additional performances have been added in San Jose, and one of two Washington, D.C. shows is already sold out,” the statement noted. “Full routing is below. Named among the 14 comedians on Deadline’s 2025 Comedy Breakthrough list, he continues to emerge as one of the most influential voices in global stand-up.”
Reflecting on the tour, Khan said, “Every tour feels like a new beginning. To see stories that began in small rooms now filling some of the most beautiful venues in the world is something I never take for granted. I’m excited to bring these new moments to everyone this spring.”
Following his debut at Madison Square Garden and becoming the first Asian comedian to headline London’s Royal Albert Hall, Khan has continued to expand the global presence of Hindi-language comedy, performing at some of the world’s most prestigious venues.
The statement added that Khan has amassed over 1 billion views across YouTube and social media platforms and has more than 18 million followers worldwide, making him one of the most widely followed Indian stand-up comedians. His Amazon Prime Video specials Haq Se Single, Kaksha Gyaarvi, and Tathastu are among the highest-rated stand-up specials by an Indian comedian. He is also known for one of YouTube’s most-watched comedy clips, When I Met a Delhi Girl (85M+ views), and hosts Ummeed, one of India’s most streamed podcasts.
The statement described Khan’s comedic style as “uniquely Indian,” reflecting the emotions, struggles, and aspirations of Indian households and young people navigating modern life.
“His comedy is deeply personal, anecdotal, and heartfelt, blending small town memories with modern ambition and vulnerability,” according to the statement. “A college dropout from Indore who performs primarily in Hindi, Zakir broke into an English dominated comedy landscape and transformed it. His stories, often punctuated by the now iconic phrase ‘Sakht Launda,’ have become cultural touchstones for a generation navigating identity and aspiration.”
The statement further noted that Khan’s international performances often resonate strongly with South Asian diaspora audiences, creating shared cultural experiences through language, nostalgia, and lived realities.
Having sold more than 3 million tickets across 150 cities, Khan continues to broaden the global appeal of Indian stand-up comedy.
