VFS Global has opened centers in Seattle and Bellevue, Washington State, to provide visa, Overseas Citizen of India (OCI), and passport services for members of the Indian diaspora and other applicants across the United States.
The Seattle center will offer “world-class facilities” to ensure a convenient and superior application experience. Nearly 500,000 Indian diaspora members in the consular jurisdiction of the Indian Consulate in Seattle covering Alaska, Idaho, Montana, Nebraska, North Dakota, Oregon, South Dakota, Washington and Wyoming are expected to benefit from these services, according to a statement from VFS Global.
“The opening of the Indian Consulate in Seattle is a reflection of Government of India’s strong commitment to deepen our relations with Pacific Northwestern states of USA and through the opening of these new visa application centers (VAC) in Seattle and Bellevue, we hope to ensure for all consular applicants a more convenient experience to adequately prepare their travel to India,” said Consul-General of India in Seattle, Prakash Gupta. “Providing smooth and efficient consular services is one of our top priorities and we would welcome any feedback and suggestions on further improvement from all applicants as we commence our consular operations in the Greater Seattle Area.”

The two spacious facilities with modern amenities, will have representatives trained in customer service to help visa applicants throughout the process. Additionally, consular applicants receive dedicated call-center assistance from 8:30AM to 5:30PM from Monday to Friday, as well as email and Web Chatbot support to assist with immediate queries.
VFS Global also offers other services such as renunciation of Indian citizenship, and Global Entry Programme (GEP) verification for the Indian Government in the US.
