South Asian Business Council of Virginia Hosts Holiday Reception, Outlines 2026 Initiatives

The South Asian Business Council of Virginia (SABCVA) hosted its Holiday Party on December 20, 2025, in Leesburg, Virginia, bringing together community leaders, professionals, and Advisory Committee advisors to reflect on the organization’s accomplishments in 2025 and outline priorities for the year ahead.

Founder of SABCVA, Mansoor Qureshi, highlighted the council’s impact over the past year and shared its vision for 2026 during the event.

“When one of us rises, we all rise together,” said Qureshi.

In 2025, according to SABCVA, the Council facilitated 35 internships focused on mobile development and artificial intelligence, while also organizing high-level networking events, workshops, and joint venture sessions aimed at fostering collaboration and professional growth within the South Asian business community.

Looking ahead, SABCVA plans to host a Women’s Empowerment Event on February 7, 2026, led by its Women Empowerment Advisory Committee.

The event will include a Women’s Pitch Competition, leadership awards, panel discussions, a SWaM certification workshop, and speed networking sessions led by Samreen Qureshi, Dipti Rach, Ritu Desai, Sajani Rao, and Samara Qureshi. Additional programming will feature a public service workshop by Mazhar Ahsan and an AI and cybersecurity conference by Harsha Rao.

Qureshi also outlined several initiatives planned for 2026, including a Youth Entrepreneur Summit and Business Summit, 100 summer internships in AI, cybersecurity, and leadership, workshops on public service and running for public office, and additional AI and cybersecurity conferences.

During the celebrations, members and advisors shared their visions and the Council’s impact in the community. Qureshi expressed gratitude to Nupur Punjabi of Anna Sudha Community Kitchens for supporting the celebration by catering the food.
