President Donald Trump has extended an official invitation to Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi to join what he described as a “Historic and Magnificent” effort aimed at solidifying peace in the Middle East and pursuing what he called a “bold new approach” to resolving global conflict.

“Now it is time to turn all of these Dreams into reality. At the heart of the Plan is The Board of Peace, the most impressive and consequential Board ever assembled, which will be established as a new International Organization and Transitional Governing Administration,” President Trump stated in a letter on January 16.

President Trump also outlined his vision for the initiative, emphasizing collective global leadership and long-term stability.

“Our effort will bring together a distinguished group of nations ready to shoulder the noble responsibility of building LASTING PEACE, an Honor reserved for those prepared to lead by example, and brilliantly invest in a secure and prosperous future for generations to come,” President Trump stated. “We will convene our wonderful and committed partners, most of whom are Highly Respected World Leaders, in the near future.”

President Trump noted that on September 29, 2025, he announced the Comprehensive Plan to End the Gaza Conflict, describing it as an extraordinary 20-point roadmap that was quickly embraced by world leaders, including heads of state from the Arab world, Israel, and Europe. He added that, in furtherance of the plan, the United Nations Security Council overwhelmingly adopted Resolution 2803 on November 17, welcoming and endorsing the vision.

U.S. Ambassador to India, Sergio Gor, who recently assumed office in New Delhi, said in a social media post that he was “Honored” to convey President Trump’s invitation to Prime Minister Modi to participate in the proposed Board of Peace, which aims to bring lasting peace to Gaza.

“The Board will support effective governance to achieve stability and prosperity,” Ambassador Gor added.
