The makers of Dragon have unveiled the first glimpse of the much-awaited Pan-India spectacle, offering a powerful first look into a world shaped by conflict, power and survival.
Over the years, producer Bhushan Kumar of T-Series Films has steadily expanded his creative footprint across the Indian film industry, from backing stories mounted on a larger scale to collaborating with some of the biggest names. With his recent collaboration with Mythri Films starring NTR Jr. and directed by Prashanth Neel, Kumar continues to widen his horizons by championing ambitious cinema that travels across languages and resonates with audiences at a wider level. He continues to back content designed for a grand theatrical experience.
Dragon sets the tone for a rugged world filled with high stakes and layered storytelling. Joining NTR Jr. is Rukmini Vasanth (of Kantara: A Legend Chapter 1 fame), with the film also featuring a stellar ensemble cast including Anil Kapoor, Biju Menon, Khushboo Sundar, Guru Somasundaram, Rajeev Kanakala, Ashutosh Rana, Anshuman Pushkar, Siddhant Gupta, Prabhas Srinu, Shatru, Shiva, Bhimal Jeet Oberoi, Ntuthuzelo Prince Grootboom, Aleksandr Mizev and Benedict Paul Garrett.
Written and directed by Prashanth Neel, known for mounting large-scale cinematic worlds, Dragon marks another highly anticipated collaboration. The film’s music is composed by Ravi Basrur, whose soundscape is expected to elevate the film’s grand narrative.
Presented by Gulshan Kumar and Bhushan Kumar under T-Series Films, the film is produced by Nandamuri Kalyan Ram, Naveen Yerneni, Y. Ravi Shankar and Kosaraju Harikrishna. DRAGON is slated for a grand theatrical release on 11th June 2027, with music on T-Series.
The first glimpse was unveiled on NTR Jr.’s birthday eve. The RRR star has undergone a massive transformation to get into the skin of his character. He has nearly lost 15-16 kgs for his role.
The KGF series and Salaar franchise director shared an interesting story to Outlook magazine about NTR Jr.’s dedication and commitment towards Dragon, revealing how he left no stone unturned for the drastic physical transformation. Neel revealed that nearly a year and a half ago, the team was preparing to start filming and had conducted a look-test with the actor.
“Once NTR gets convinced about something, there’s absolutely no stopping him,” Neel told Outlook. “I had only suggested that he become slightly leaner for Dragon, but he pushed himself beyond imagination and lost nearly 15–16 kilos for the role. He wanted to look exactly the way I had envisioned the character. That kind of dedication, madness, and stubborn determination is something I have honestly never seen in anybody else.”
